Days Of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will seek help from Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). She’s being blackmailed by Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) who wants payment for keeping a past murder by Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) a secret; she wants Stephanie and Chad to investigate.

Paulina was with her husband, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) discussing her gubernatorial run when Sloan appeared with a file in hand. Abe called Sloan an ambulance chaser, and Sloan wanted to talk to Paulina privately, and Paulina agreed to it. When Abe left the room, Sloan revealed she had some information that Paulina’s daughter, Chanel had committed a murder and she wanted payment to keep it quiet.

Paulina tries to dismiss Sloan, telling her there is no way that could possibly be true; then Sloan demands money to keep it quiet, and hands her the file. Paulina has twenty-four hours to think about it, after Sloan tells her Chanel could go to prison, and leaves; she immediately calls Stephanie and Chad.

DOOL Spoilers – How Does She Know It’s True?

Paulina wants to get some dirt on Sloan just in case she needs it, but she also has to do something to keep a scandal from igniting. She calls Stephanie and Chad not only to make them aware of that but also to see if they can investigate the allegations and find out if they’re true. Abe may be the former police chief in the family but she doesn’t want him to know, they’ve already got one daughter in prison. Chad and Stephanie awkwardly find themselves in Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) shoes, who was an investigative reporter, but Chad learned some things from her and Stephanie from her dad. If Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) wasn’t so sick, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) probably would have taken the case himself, and Chad knows Abby would have.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Who Is Really Behind This?

Paulina wants to know who is really behind this, and why; is Sloan trying to shake her down because of a political agenda of her own, or what? The murder of Ray Coates (William Christian) which Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) is in prison for was front page news, and someone could be getting ideas from it. Stephanie and Chad agree that it has very suspicious similarities to Lani’s case, and even though Paulina was exonerated, someone could be trying to cash in on it.

If not Sloan Petersen herself, it could be an undeclared political opponent looking to create a scandal to get Paulina out of the race. Sloan herself is committing extortion and should be arrested and disbarred, but they don’t know if the information is true, that’s what they have to find out before proceeding.
