DOOL spoilers reveal that Clyde has been released from prison. On parole, Clyde is staying with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal). Ben wants to help his dad do things right. Ciara doesn’t have much hope for the villain, though.
Then, Ben helped Clyde get a job with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor). So far, Roman is happy with Clyde’s work as a short-order cook. Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) thinks it’s a terrible idea, though.
Plus, there is the whole issue with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Clyde insists that he wants to be in his grandchild’s life, but whether he can stay out of prison is uncertain.
Nancy’s divorce is finalized, and she has been invited to Craig Wesley’s (Kevin Spirtas) wedding. Nancy wants to show her support despite the painful divorce. However, Nancy’s self-esteem is at an all-time low.
When she meets Clyde through a dating app, they hit it off but as friends. Darbo told Soap Opera Digest that there aren’t sparks “right away,” so it’s possible they will have a slow-burning romance or perhaps become good friends.
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Clyde gives Nancy a jolt of self-esteem, which is why she interrupts Craig’s wedding. Plus, Nancy appreciates Clyde being upfront with her about his time in prison. Considering Nancy was lied to for over 30 years by the man she trusted the most, Clyde’s honesty is valued.
It’s confirmed that Nancy interrupts Craig and Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) wedding. However, it doesn’t sound as if she’s the one who objects or exposes Leo. It sounds more likely that Nancy wants to show her support to Craig. The former couple might be divorced but they still care about each other very much.
Decades ago, villains were evil to the core and never changed. Then, soaps went to giving villains redemption stories. However, it’s hard for fans to buy those redemption stories. They can also be quite unbelievable. One example of a failed redemption story is Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
It seems that soap writers have more success with semi-reformed characters. After all, people are complex and multi-layered. Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) is one example of a great semi-reformed character. Xander will never be completely reformed and will always be a bit of a bad guy.
However, he’s a villain with a heart that fans have grown to love and understand. It’s possible we will see something similar with Clyde. Could having a grandchild as well as a possible new romance help with that? We will have to keep watching to find out!
