It just happens that Thomas finds Leo hiding in the tunnels. Now, Thomas doesn’t know Leo, so he doesn’t understand that he’s a threat. It would be just like Leo to trick Thomas into keeping his secret.

Leo might tell Thomas that he’s the stork and is going to give him a little brother or sister. Leo might even claim to be setting up a special surprise for Abigail and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Leo will convince the little boy to keep his presence in the tunnels a secret.
