Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Kayla Is Ordered To Fire Marlena, Will She Comply?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that Salem University Hospital Chief of Staff Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will be ordered to fire longtime friend Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) in an upcoming episode of Days of Our Lives; but will she comply?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – The Hospital Board Is Upset

Days of Our Lives viewers will remember that the hospital board had become upset over the movie that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is making about Marlena’s possession and that Marlena herself has been losing patients over her actual possession! The optics don’t look good for Salem University Hospital and as Days of Our Lives viewers may know, often the medical administrators put money made over even patient care, and certainly over the careers of their professionals! Nothing pains a good doctor, one who cares about their patients and is dedicated to the Hippocratic Oath of “do no harm” more than a greedy administrator or hospital publicist, which has in recent years become a “thing”! It is these kinds of “professionals” that Kayla and Marlena have been dealing with, and they both fear that Dr. Tom Horton (MacDonald Carey) must be rolling over in his grave!

DOOL Spoilers – Does History Mean Nothing?

Days of Our Lives viewers can imagine that Kayla is upset – after all, doesn’t history mean anything anymore; what about all of the people that Marlena successfully has treated over the years? Days of Our Lives viewers know that several people have been helped and their lives have been changed successfully with Marlena’s help just in the past few years; Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) for one, and Claire Brady (most recently Isabel Durant) for another. Kayla’s husband Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Marlena’s husband John Black (Drake Hogestyn) have been partners in Black Patch for years, and Kayla is very angry at the board pushing her to fire Marlena! Right now, there is a patient that desperately needs the expertise that Marlena with her many years of experience as a psychiatrist possesses; Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) who Kayla has just had to give dire news to her mother about!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Kayla Johnson May Be Facing Firing If She Doesn’t Fire Marlena Evans

Worse yet, Days of Our Lives viewers will likely see Kayla facing being fired if she doesn’t fire Marlena, because apparently Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) heard her job’s up for grabs and he’s urging Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) to go after it! That is not a choice that Kayla appreciates having to make, especially when there are so many in Salem University Hospital that are in dire straits; Days of Our Lives viewers can imagine the pressure being put on Kayla to fire Marlena or face losing her own job! Kayla is already stretched thin as Chief of Staff; Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) is still interning, Sarah’s out of commission and she has to step in when no one else is available or skilled enough to handle emergencies! Detective Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) came in with a bullet to the brain which required specialized care, and he could have died – that certainly was a case of all hands on deck! Kayla is frustrated – the hospital needs more doctors, not less, and she will be torn under the pressure to risk her job if she doesn’t fire Marlena!
