Hoffman has been busy as a bee, with credits in Tyler Perry’s BET+ show Zatima as well as the Snapchat series Breakwater. He and his brother Forrest are also the brains behind the Amazon Prime show Talkin’ Success which was recently renamed Driven.

On top of his professional accomplishments, Hoffman just became a dad to his and wife Ida Barklund’s first child, a daughter named Una Bay.

Hoffman is the first one to acknowledge his good fortune saying he is grateful for all of the onscreen and offscreen success he is enjoying.

DOOL Spoilers – What Happens Next In Salem?

The California native caught the acting bug in college and his brother also has an interest in acting which dovetailed into their Driven series. But before their series launched, Hoffman was discovered by a modeling agent—this multihyphenate definitely has both brains and beauty!

So it should come as no surprise that Hoffman once considered a career as a preschool teacher. But before he could pursue this path, he booked a role on Criminal Minds and months later was cast on the DOOL App series.

It was around this time that Hoffman met his wife, while on a photo shoot: “We met in April 2019 and got married a year later on March 13, 2020.” As he notes, the timing was historic as the covid pandemic sent everyone inside for two years.

These days he and his wife are loving their parenthood journey. “Watching a woman go through birth,” he says, “you gain so much … respect … it’s truly beautiful.”
