DOOL spoilers reveal that Belle has been turning to EJ ever since the Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) situation blew up. Each time that Belle considered repairing her relationship with Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), something would happen that drove “Shelle” further apart.

It certainly didn’t help matters that Shawn convinced Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) to let Jan and the baby stay together a bit longer. Then, Shawn told Belle about the baby’s name. Feeling heartbroken and like Jan has won, Belle goes to bed with EJ during the week of June 27.

When EJ and Belle are giving into passion, they are interrupted. That unexpected guest just happens to be Sami, who wants a divorce so she can marry Lucas.

From the weekly preview, it seems that Sami doesn’t want in on EJ and Belle as they are in bed together. However, she does wonder what Belle is doing at the DiMera mansion. That is when EJ tells Sami that Belle is more than just providing legal guidance.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of June 27 reveal that Sami demands that EJ sign the divorce papers. Sami informs EJ that she plans on marrying Lucas. Even though EJ thinks that Lucas is the person who framed him, he can’t prove it yet. That’s not the only reason why EJ doesn’t want to sign the divorce papers and let Sami move on, though.

DOOL Spoilers – EJ DiMera’s Plea

In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Feuerriegel spoke about EJ trying to stop Sami from marrying Lucas. When EJ begs Sami not to follow through, part of it is because he suspects Lucas framed him. However, the other part of it is that EJ secretly hopes that he can be with Sami again.

“It hits EJ hard. Try as he might to tell everyone that he’s fine and over her, you just can’t stop that depth of a relationship and automatically switch off those feelings. He’s hurt and conflicted with it all and deep down, he doesn’t want a divorce.”

Despite their volatile past, EJ is still in love with Sami. So, hearing EJ beg Sami not to marry Lucas could make Belle realize what a big mistake she’s made, especially since it happens right after their lovemaking session.
