Although their were some doubters, most people came to accept it when Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel DuPree (Raven Bowens) returned from their overseas trip as married! Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), who is both Johnny’s twin and Chanel’s best friend, was the biggest detractor. While Johnny accused Allie of having romantic feelings for Allie, she claimed she just didn’t want to see Johnny hurt Chanel. Allie double-downed by reminding Johnny that she is happy and in love with Dr. Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams).

But not long after Johnny returned home, he helped take part in the exorcism of Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). And while Marlena’s family was successful in driving the demonic entity out of Marlena, he took refuge in side Johnny instead. The transformation was slow, and Johnny and Chanel made love several time. But then Johnny fell ill and when he recovered, the devil had taken over! The devil seemingly has other plans for Johnny’s love life that don’t include Chanel. So at a reception in their honor, Johnny cruelly dumped Chanel in front of all their friends and family!

Allie took Chanel to Paulina Price’s (Jackie Harry), Chanel’s mother’s, apartment to get away from Johnny as quickly as possible. Chanel was devastated as well as humiliated by what Johnny did to her. Allie was also disgusted with her brother’s actions. Chanel impulsively kissed Allie who pulled away. But then later comfort gave way to passion and they made love. Allie will certainly be horrified at betraying Tripp and Chanel will urge her to keep quiet for the sake of her relationship with doctor.

While Allie might be able to hide the truth if it only happened once, that likely won’t be the case. Look for Chanel and Allie to embark on a sexual relationship. Allie won’t know what do to with her feelings for both Tripp and Chanel. But she won’t be able to lie to Tripp for long as her guilt will likely eat away at her. Tripp will certainly be hurt, be he deserves the truth. Especially if Allie’s feelings for Chanel are as strong as they seem. Things may even get more complicated is Chanel turns up pregnant. And once free of the devil, he might want Chanel back as well.
