Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) both were part of the mob. Then, Jake gave Ava a place to stay after her failed attempt to frame Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Suddenly, Jake proposes to Ava, which is a surprise considering their short relationship. Barash explained Ava’s appeal and Jake’s proposal.

Unapproachable and Too Tough

DOOL spoilers reveal that Barash told Soap Opera Digest that Jake was terrified of Ava in the beginning. The only interaction Jake had with Ava before Salem was when they were both involved in the mob. At that time, Jake saw Ava as his tough boss and found her to be terrifying and unapproachable.

DOOL Spoilers: Forced Co-Existence

Fans remember when Ava tried to frame Rafe after learning about his tryst with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). Rafe eventually was cleared and is now married to Nicole. However, that left Ava with no place to live. Jake invited Ava to stay with him for a little while. Soon after, they became friends, which soon turned into romance.

It was completely unexpected for both Jake and Ava. Barash told the magazine that they were both thrown into a situation that forced them to co-exist. Jake and Ava had no idea that there would ever be anything between them. What they have discovered is that they work well together, have a lot in common, and really get one another.

Ava Vitali’s ‘Good Fight’ Appeal

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that part of Ava’s appeal is her struggle to be good. It isn’t something Ava is really used to, especially when her jealousy gets out of control.

“He once saw Ava as an impermeable, untouchable all of a mob boss and a really tough lady, but she’s let her guard down. Jake’s kind of been able to take her wall apart brick by brick, and he finds that intriguing.”

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Unexpected Proposal

Not only does Ava not expect the marriage proposal but it kind of catches Jake off guard, too. After going to the town square, Jake ponders if they are meant to be together. Jake suddenly gets the idea in his head that he doesn’t want to look for Miss Right anymore. Jake likes what he has with Ava and thinks they stand a real shot at having a happy ending.

Unfortunately, Jake and Ava will not get their happily ever after. In the weekly preview, Jake tries to save Nicole from an armed mugger. While Ava and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) stand helplessly, the gunman shoots Jake in the stomach.
