Gwen has been able to reconcile with her father Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). Gwen and Jack had a falling out because of the secret that Gwen had kept about her sister Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller). Gwen got the help that she needed to reunite with Jack from her love Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer). Gwen has been grateful to Xander for standing by her. Gwen is worried that she will lose Xander to his past live Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). Gwen has turned to Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) in order to keep from losing Xander.

Gwen is keeping a secret from Xander. Gwen knows that Sarah did not leave Xander of her own free will. Xander has believed that Sarah left him to be with her past love Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). Xander has found out from Rex that Sarah did not go with him. Xander and Rex are concerned about Sarah. Xander wanted to find out if Sarah’s mother Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) had heard from Sarah. Maggie and Xander were shocked to find out that Sarah’s cell phone number was not in service.

Xander and Maggie have turned to Abigail to get her to use her connections at the newspaper The Spectator to try to find Sarah. Gwen is in a panic because she knows that Sarah has been kidnapped by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). Gwen had to turn to Ava in order to help Kristen to escape from jail to keep the secret from Xander. Gwen needs to get Ava’s advice on what she should do about the fact that Xander wants to find Sarah. Ava has advised Gwen to wait to find out what Xander might find about about Sarah’s disappearance.

Rafe told Ava about Nicole and Duke to find out if she could have destroyed the teddy bear. Ava has assured Rafe that she is innocent. Ava has been trying to figure out what she wants to do about Rafe and Nicole. Ava may find that she could get help from Gwen to deal with her problem.
