Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Abe Runs for Governor, Trask Kicks Off Smear Campaign?

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) has big plans for Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) political future. With Orpheus (George DelHoyo) meeting with the governor, the villain probably is trying to force a pardon. If this happens, Abe would have good reason to run for governor. However, could someone get revenge and target Abe’s campaign?

Orpheus Meets with Governor

DOOL spoilers reveal that during Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) and Christian Maddox aka Evan Frears’ (Brock Kelly) prison baby storyline, Orpheus had a plan. Orpheus wouldn’t tell Evan or anyone what that plan was.

However, Soap Opera Digest teased that Orpheus will meet with Governor Mitchell (Mark Bramhall). The magazine states that after meeting with Orpheus, Governor Mitchell makes some shocking decisions. This could be directly connected to Paulina’s plans for Abe’s political future.

DOOL Spoilers: Political Plans

Now that Abe and Paulina are married, they are working on their next life chapter together. Abe has been the mayor of Salem for a while now. Abe has also gone through nearly losing his reputation as well as getting it back.

Then, you throw Paulina into the mix and she is the type of person that never settles. Paulina things big, so it only makes sense that she would push Abe to take the next step in his political career.

DA Melinda Trask’s Revenge

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that when Abe and Paulina were dealing with the aftermath of Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) confession, there was tension with DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang). Even when Abe and Paulina brought Beth Howard (Donielle Artese) into the room, Trask still fought them.

At one point, Abe and Paulina played hardball with Trask. The DA was told that the court of public opinion was more of a factor in her job than the court itself. Paulina threatened to plaster Trask defending an abuser rather than the victims on the front page of the newspaper. Abe also made his own threats, which forced Trask’s hand.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Smear Campaign?

If Abe finds out about Governor Mitchell making a deal with Orpheus, that certainly will give him the motivation to take over the position. However, Abe could face complications, especially if Trask meant it when she said he would regret his actions regarding Beth and Lani.

It would be just like Trask to initiate a smear campaign, which could cause new problems for Abe and Paulina. How far will Trask go and will Abe be able to survive the smear campaign? We will have to keep watching the NBC soap to find out.
