Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) Spoilers: Ron Carlivati Dishes On Days Exits

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that several exits are coming up very close together and fans are beginning to worry about the fate of the show. Head writer, Ron Carlivati, chose to address this in a recent interview. What is going on with all of these actors leaving the show?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – This Is Not A Mass Exodus

Days of Our Lives has been losing actors left and right lately. Ron explains that sometimes actors’ contracts come up for renewal at the same time. Negotiations don’t always work out the way everyone hopes so actors leave. Also, the actor often wants to spread their wings, and gets too expensive to try to work with their schedules. Ron assures people that there is no big crisis at the show to cause these actors to exit. Actors come and go all of the time, especially on soaps and fans should not get into a panic over them leaving.

DOOL Spoilers – Super Couples Make Exits Super Hard

Days of Our Lives Carlivati explains that in the case of super couples, things are much more difficult. Victoria Konefal (Ciara Weston) is a prime example. Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara are a very popular couple but Victoria isn’t available full time. At one time Ciara was killed off the show because of these scheduling issues. Ron explains that sometimes it is just not feasible to keep an actor on reoccurring status. Ron says that if you are going to tell a story about a couple, you need those people on contract.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Deciding How To Write An Exit

Days of Our Lives Carlivati says another challenge is deciding how the character are going to exit. Days of Our Lives is famous for bringing characters back from the dead. However, sometimes exit like the upcoming trip around the world for Ben and Ciara works well for a couple. This trip ties into the history of Ciara’s family and makes it somewhat nostalgic. Carlivati goes on to say that losing these actors is hard on them as well. The writers have to decide how to write their exit.

Carlivati closed by saying “It is really hard for us, so many of your favorites are still here to watch, but it is painful to lose even one person, let alone a few at once. We have introduced some new characters … which will open up the canvas a little bit. .. We love these people and dead, alive, in prison, … never say never, the door is always open for them to come back. “
