If you’re going to do a possession story, it has to last through two ratings sweeps periods at the very least, right? That’s how we knew Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) exorcism wasn’t the end of things for Satan in Salem.

After all, he still has that matter of Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) baby to deal with. So, of course, he just jumped bodies into someone who was in that room where the exorcism took place. And who better than Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) grandson? After all, it was Stefano’s boudoir hopping and Queen of the Night fantasies that brought Satan to Salem, to begin with back in 1994.

On Thursday, JoDevil, as Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), tells his family he has some major news and big plans. Does this involve Chanel (Raven Bowens) and his movie, which the devil might want to be a part of in a major way? And is Johnny still fighting to break free or enjoying this?

DOOL Spoilers – Xander Kirakis Takes Maggie Horton’s Advice

Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) figures if he can’t have Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) helping him find Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), he’ll use Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) suggestion and hire a reporter instead. Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) is very curious about this disappearance and agrees to work with Xander along with Maggie. After all, if she does find Sarah, she’d really be sticking it to her sister, Gwen (Emily O’Brien), right? This could be sweet revenge that Gwen does not see coming.

Speaking of Abigail and Gwen, both women have to say goodbye to their father as Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) leave Salem for Boston to save a local newspaper from extinction. They are excited about their new venture, but their goodbye is bittersweet. Will they return to Salem any time soon or is this the last we will see of Jack and Jennifer for a very long time?
