Chrisley Knows Best News: Todd And Julie Chrisley Found Guilty On All Charges, Face 30 Years In Prison For Fraud

Chrisley Knows Best news shows that today Todd and Julie Chrisley were found guilty of fraud and hiding money from the IRS. The verdict was rendered in an Atlanta courtroom and the pair now face up to 30 years in prison. A jury found the pair guilty of all charges Tuesday and they will be sentenced at a later date. After they were found guilty, U.S. District Judge Eleanor Ross allowed the Chrisleys to remain free on bond.

According to the Daily Mail, “Todd Chrisley was found guilty of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States and tax fraud. The TV star has been married for 26 years to Julie, with whom he shares five children: Lindsie, 32; Kyle, 30; Chase, 25; Savannah, 24; and Grayson, 16.”
For her part in the matter Julie Chrisley was found guilty of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, tax fraud, and wire fraud.

Also convicted Tuesday was the Chrisley’s former lawyer, Peter Tarantino. The lawyer was found guilty of conspiracy to defraud the United States and willfully filing false tax returns.
The Chrisleys were indicted in August 2019 and this February a new indictment was filed; the trial started in May. An attorney for Todd Chrisley, Bruce Morris, stated he was, “disappointed with the verdict and expects to appeal.”
According to prosecutors, the Chrisleys submitted phony documents to banks when applying for loans. It was claimed that Julie Chrisley, “also submitted a false credit report and fake bank statements when trying to rent a house in California, and then the couple refused to pay rent a few months after they started using the home.”
Chrisley Knows Best News – The Chrisley’s Found Guilty
Prosecutors maintained that the couple used a film production company they controlled, “to hide income to keep the IRS from collecting unpaid taxes owed by Todd Chrisley,” according to the Daily Mail.
The couple is free on bond but must wear monitoring devices and are on home detention. They are allowed to leave their residence only for certain reasons, ie, work, medical appointments and court appearances. They must also tell their probation officer if they spending over $1,000. Peter Tarantino also remains free on bond.
The reality show Chrisley Knows Best follows the Chrisley family and has been renewed by USA for a 10th season, and the spinoff Growing Up Chrisley, with Chrisley kids Chase and Savannah has been renewed by E! for a fourth season.
In May E! announced it was going forward with a new dating series, Love Limo, hosted by Todd Chrisley. During the trial, “it was revealed that Todd Chrisley had a gay affair with his business partner, Mark Braddock in the early 2000s, who helped him commit fraud before tipping off cops after their romance went sour.”
Braddock testified that he and Todd formed a ‘brotherhood.’ He told his wife about the affair before testifying, and Braddock was granted immunity.
