The trial of Todd and Julie started a few weeks ago and his family seemed very supportive. In fact, fans also stood by him, never believing for a second that they did anything wrong. Well, federal courts usually don’t convict people without very solid evidence. So, when the verdict of guilty was announced, a lot of fans reeled with shock. For years now, he talked about his innocence and many people believed him as he always talks about God on social media.
Chrisley Knows Best star Savannah seemed very positive ahead of the jury announcing their decision on the tax case. On her dad’s Instagram, when he spoke about God and his life, she turned up in the comments. There, she said, “We’ve got this! God has got us!” Well, it turned out that God wasn’t sitting on the jury, and they found her mom and dad guilty. Therefore, they face the possibility of doing jail time.
During the trial, it turned out that Todd’s mom, Nanny Faye was put on the stand and asked some hard questions. Insider reported that she signed a lot of papers, including “one that said she was an owner of the “7C’s Productions” company.” However, she claimed that she didn’t read the documents that Todd asked her to sign. Additionally, she explained that she was on put on as a signatory to sign checks when the family was away.
Chrisley Knows Best fans heard that pretty much, the old lady just trusted her family and she did what Todd asked without being aware that he was getting up to any sort of fraud or tax evasion. USA Network fans believe her. After all, she is just an older woman enjoying the grandkids and having fun while she can. So, they went to town and slammed the couple for potentially risking his mom going to jail if they were caught.
Chrisley Knows Best fans had a lot to say about Nanny Faye. It came on the last post he put up. Here’s what some of them said:
He is throwing his mom into it now that’s sad what man does that not cool.
Nanny Faye even got on stand and testified she had no idea what her son had her signing. He was willing to take his own mother down with him.
I don’t feel sorry for people like this, and involving his own elderly mother in this without telling her the truth when it came to what documents she was signing. She thought she could trust her son, only to find out that the documents he had her sign could have gotten her into some serious trouble. Pure selfishness.
Documents like that can be confusing to some, especially elderly women that didn’t have much education, so it’s easier to take your son, who is a business man and real estate agents word on what the documents mean.”
