As a result, Chris now wants to set the record straight, reported Us Weekly. And in particular, Rock denied all those rumors that Will had contacted him in the wake of that slap. During his comedy show on Wednesday, Chris tackled those rumors directly.

“I haven’t talked to anyone despite what you may have heard,” the 57-year-old comedian told the audience. Moreover, insiders shared that Smith, 53, did not make any attempts to speak to Rock, although the actor did apologize on Instagram. As for Chris’ plan for his own future? Life goes on.

Although getting slapped at the Oscars 2022 didn’t enter into Chris Rock’s plans for his comedy tour, the comedian feels determined to continue without losing focus. “Chris is focusing on his tour,” summed up one insider. “He’s moving on and is looking forward to his upcoming gigs.”

And the audience benefited from his positive attitude. For instance, at one Wednesday performance, Rock delighted the crowd with a “great show,” shared an eyewitness. “The audience laughed a lot and it really cut the tension.”

But amid the laughter, the former “Saturday Night Live” star also got honest with the crowd. After he asked the group about their own weekends, Chris made a confession. “I’m still processing what happened,” he admitted.

While Rock continues on his comedy show tour, Will Smith’s fans await his own public response. Thus far, the actor has limited himself to an Instagram apology. “I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us,” wrote Smith. “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong.”
