Days of Our Lives seemed to give a love letter to fans in the summer of 2022 with Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem, Chapter 2.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Loves Its History

The entirety of Beyond Salem was a trip back to the 1980s for all those fans that loved Salem’s heyday. It almost seemed like a hot tub time machine so to speak when Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) and Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) almost got electrocuted in a hot tub at a California version of The Body Connection, just as Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) allegedly met her maker way back when.

Not only did we get to see The Body Connection, we learned it was still owned by Chris Kositcheck as Josh Taylor took off from playing Roman for a bit to reprise his original Salem character. We also learned that Chris had been married to Savannah Wilder for all the years he has been gone and they have kids. How great is that!?

DOOL Spoilers – The Return Of Bo And Hope Brady

While there were many nods to the 1980s in little scenes, the Bo (Peter Recell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso)love story and reunion was still prominent and Megan Hathaway was still a foil in their romance. We got to learn what had happened to Hope Brady since she left Salem and it turned out she was engaged to a little-known old DAYS character named Harris Michaels, played as he was in the 80s by Steve Burton.

Harris was the villain working for Megan, who was still alive after all these years. And, she was still looking for those prisms that cure a brain tumor, as Stefano DiMera (Joeseph Mascolo) did in the 80s.

We also got to see our beloved Bo Brady in heaven watching everything that was happening with Hope below. When Hope was shot, she met Bo in heaven and they danced to Tonight I Celebrate My Love just as they did at Hope’s 18th birthday party in 1983.

When Beyond Salem ended, we saw that Bo had been cryogenically frozen by Megan back in 2015 when we thought he had died from a brain tumor. With the prisms, she brought him back to life, setting DOOL fans up for an awesome 2023, indeed.
