Sheila’s heinous act, in sending alcohol to Brooke via a switched label, makes Lang’s character a genuine victim in this storyline.

Deacon is the person who is capable of putting two and two together. He and to a different degree, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), want Ridge to break from Brooke. But Deacon and Taylor are also the two people who are most likely to learn that Sheila intentionally sparked this mess.

Assuming an eventual reveal could be a mistake, as there have been other offenses Sheila has gotten away with through the years on B&B and The Young and the Restless. But if her actions are unmasked, Steffy and the other Forrester’s will not care.

Brooke did not have to kiss Deacon just because she was drunk. And after sobering up and remaining so for weeks, Brooke opted to keep the truth from Ridge.

Ridge is angry with Brooke for allowing Deacon back into her life. Months later, when her world has collapsed, Ridge will opt to hold Deacon mostly accountable.

The teased fight between both men will result in Deacon being roughed up. Brooke is said to come to his defense, as part of preventing escalation.

Circumstances will turn Deacon into the second victim in this scenario, with the first, Brooke, then having something else in common with her one-time flame.
