The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was engaged in nervous self-talk. He is fearful that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) might pull another mind game stunt on Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).

Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) is on the same soapy page as her son-in-law. She is also suspicious of Thomas.

Liam shared his feelings, which is hardly news, with Brooke. He told her that he never has and never will trust Thomas.

Thomas used Douglas Forrester’s (Django Ferri) poor soul status as a vehicle to help him bond with Hope when they initially returned from New York. At that time in the plot Thomas was hoping to break Hope and Liam.

Of course, Liam has proven to be Hope’s true soul mate. But there does seem to be an undefined place in Hope’s heart for Thomas.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease Liam has been a stand-up stepfather to Douglas. Thomas came to grudgingly respect Clifton’s character before later seeming to drop the grudge entirely.

But if Liam had his druthers, would he have wanted Hope to tie herself into Thomas’ life by agreeing to adopt Douglas? Probably not.

B&B Spoilers – Can Thomas Forrester Turn Her Head?

Whether Atkinson’s character can develop what appears to be sympathy into love is challenging. But pitting Liam and Hope against each other would help.

Thomas failed in his attempt to force Hope to develop feelings for him in the recent past. Her dumping him into a vat, during a memorable soapy scene, was just one instance where Hope’s discomfort was reinforced.

But time has passed, and Hope is looking at Thomas in a different light. If the SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) version of Douglas convinces Hope to let him spend more time with Thomas, many new chances for Atkinson’s character to impress will exist.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Liam Spencer Knows Rival is Cagey

Brooke’s renewed battle with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) is similar to Liam’s reviving conflict with Thomas. Brooke sees Taylor as unstable and undependable but knows that Ridge sees her differently than she does.

Liam’s challenge is not challenging her bond with Douglas while also knowing that if he goes to live with his dad on a permanent basis, then the Spencer’s would likely reduce Thomas time.

Liam needs to be leery of Thomas creating trouble between him and his wife. Hope can be stubborn in believing that there is good in Thomas. Liam does not see it and never will.
