Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) acted strangely after being told that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was the woman who killed Finn. The outrage that Li has offered was natural. But her not wanting to discuss a memorial service or other matters connected to Finn’s death threw Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) off.
However, hardcore fans of this iconic steamer were thrilled to learn that Finn was not shot dead by Sheila.
A brilliant soapy sequence followed Li from the cliff house to what appeared to be a hotel room suite. She held Finn’s photo, and then scenes with other main characters were shown.
It appeared as though Matsuda’s minor character would not appear again. But then Li was shown walking to a bed, discussing with herself the possibilities of another chance existing. And then it happened.
Finn was lying in a bed, hooked up to various medical devices. He was alive but apparently in a coma. His heart rate was 120 over 80 mm, which was formerly considered to be a standard, healthy measure. Regardless, Finn was in the good doctor’s care.
There is nothing known to exist in standard medical journals or among upper-crust peer-reviewed studies that suggest a doctor care for her son in a hotel room for an indefinite period.
Li is projecting maternal instinct. But she has suffered a mental breakdown, as Finn’s adoptive mother knows he should be in a medical facility. So, why is Li choosing to care for Finn on her own?
But there is a far more pressing question. How did Li get Finn into that room because he was last seen being wheeled out of the alley after a sheet was pulled over his head by an Emergency Medical Technician?
Might TPTB withhold this incredible reveal, which might be termed schlocky by those who do not appreciate the soap genre, for many months?
Wood announced months ago that she and her husband were expecting their third child in the spring. She could have the baby any day. So, the actor could have recorded advanced scenes that keep Steffy in the show for a while longer.
But Wood’s anticipated maternity leave would likely keep her away from the set for a handful of months. Steffy may not be seen regularly until later in the summer.
If the writing staff does not have Steffy learn the truth in the next few weeks, the fans may have to wait until the weather is as hot as this reveal reunion will eventually be on B&B.
