B&B Spoilers: Eric Practices Tough Love With Ridge, A Woman’s Not A Game

The Bold and The Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and updates tease Eric Forrester (John McCook) will practice some tough love with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). Ridge needs to learn that a woman is not a game to win or a conquest to achieve, and the waffling back and forth has to stop!

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Grow Up, Son

Eric makes it abundantly clear that Ridge needs to grow up, commit to one woman with his whole heart, and stop the teenage style love games. Ridge has always been a waffler – before he met Taylor, he waffled back and forth between his first wife Caroline Spencer l (Joanna Johnson) and Brooke until Caroline died of leukemia. He met Taylor while she gave him grief counseling over Caroline’s death, and they fell in love and from then on it was waffling between Taylor and Brooke.

Taylor was presumed dead a couple of times and then he’d waffled between Brooke and others, including Caroline Spencer ll (Linsey Godfrey) who he married. She later gave birth to Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) son Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) and died of a blood clot, while Ridge waffled back to Brooke eventually.

B & B Spoilers: Round And Round And Round He Goes

When Taylor was revealed as alive and later returned, Ridge waffled back and forth some more between her and Brooke, and now left Taylor at the altar. Taylor, their kids, and Eric all waited while he went to apologize to Brooke over Thomas’ faked CPS call, leaving Taylor in limbo. Brooke demanded a stop to the back and forth as Taylor had earlier in Aspen, or she’d have stayed there and never agreed to remarry. The same pattern emerged; round and round and round Ridge goes, when he’ll stop waffling nobody knows! Eric knows he has to intervene and put a stop to both these women’s hearts being broken at the whims of his waffling son.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Love Is Not A Game

Eric is stern as he tells Ridge love is not a game, women are not a conquest, and he cannot truly love neither Taylor nor Brooke and continue these waffling patterns. Ridge tells both women on a regular basis that he will always love them, but what he’s been doing doesn’t even resemble true love. True love is true commitment to one woman only at a time, forsaking all others, not keeping one woman in his back pocket like a spare hankie.

Eric released Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) from her vows when she discovered his affair with Donna Logan (Jennifer Garies) but he didn’t keep either as a “spare”. Ridge needs to make up his mind and marry the woman he wants to stay married to or live with, not keep both of them all upset over him.
