Viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will recall that Deacon pledged his love and commitment to Brooke in a previous episode of The Bold and The Beautiful, making sure that she knew he would be there for her in whatever way she needed him to be. Tears were shed, and a shoulder was given as well as hugs when Brooke cried her eyes out over Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) who had broken up with her for what he claimed would be the last time! Brooke still has so many questions about why she drank that night, as Deacon had noted she was already three sheets to the wind by the time he arrived on New Year’s Eve to get his phone. Deacon also suspects Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) had something to do with it although he hasn’t been able to figure out exactly what – but there is time for that later. Right now, Brooke needs him and he’s there for her.
Viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will have noticed that even though Ridge told Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) in a previous episode of The Bold and The Beautiful he’d be staying in the gatehouse on the Forrester property, he’s been with her. Ridge is with Taylor and their grown kids every spare moment, and hasn’t even gotten his things from Brooke’s house yet although it probably won’t be long before he does.
Deacon is there with Brooke in her house, and he’s been there for a while – and Brooke doesn’t care if Ridge comes to get his things – and neither does Deacon – Ridge made his decision when Deacon tried to get him to make up with Brooke. Brooke wants Deacon to stay the night because he makes her feel safe, she bares his heart and soul to him as she realizes what she does, who she sees and who’s in her house with her is no longer any of Ridge’s business! Deacon agrees to stay with her and teases her about who gets the covers of the bed and who sleeps on top, although he thinks the couch looks perfectly comfortable!
As viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful can imagine in such an emotion-filled situation, one thing leads to another and up to bed as Deacon continues to comfort an anguished Brooke! Brooke is glad Deacon is there with her and no drinking of alcohol happens this time, although it is a much more sad night for her than New Year’s Eve was.
It is Brooke who leads Deacon to the bedroom, not the other way around, and she who makes the decision for him to stay the night as he was willing to but hadn’t fully committed to do so previously. Viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful might define Brooke and Deacon’s togetherness as grief sex, but for Brooke it is the comfort she needs and the perfect partner!
