Taylor appears to be Ridge’s fallback option if he decides that Brooke represents too much drama. As devoted fans recall, Ridge moved out of the Logan mansion because his head was spinning following the Deacon Spencer (Sean Kanan) kiss reveal.

Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) almost empty soul-purge revealed that she engineered Brooke’s New Year’s Eve drinking binge, which lessened the harshness of Ridge’s judgment of her. However, he has not totally gotten past his wife’s actions with Kanan’s character.

So, the strongest argument for Ridge deciding to be with Taylor would seem to come after he opts not to be with Brooke. Is that love? And why would Taylor accept that seeming outcome?
