Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) was surprisingly romantic in Monaco with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen). That turnabout did not seem to fit the flow of Ridge’s storyline, as he appeared to have recommitted to Brooke.

Thomas has no issues with the way Hope has been raising his son. Viewers recall that Atkinson’s character asked her to assume the responsibility of becoming Douglas’ new mother.

The above happened after B&B recast the Thomas and Douglas (as then played by Henry David Samiri) characters in 2019. Thomas quickly became obsessed with Hope, began routinely attacking Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) out of jealousy, and intended to marry Noelle’s character.

Hope chose to become Douglas’ official mother, as she adopted him. Her decision to take that step and her efforts to date should weigh heavily in any potential judgment any legal authority might make.

B&B Spoilers – Ridge Forrester Stands With Son

Ridge loves Brooke and has no current intentions of leaving her. That is why he felt compelled to tell Lang’s character about kissing Taylor in Monaco.

The Douglas issue is separate from marital issues, at least in Ridge’s mind. That is nice and neat in theory. But the potential for a contentious custody battle would likely cause Ridge to stand with Thomas. Taylor would be part of that contingent as well.

Brooke was not outraged by what happened. She is rationalizing the immense emotions that were connected to John Finn Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) incredible survival and his reuniting with Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), which Ridge and Taylor took part in.

Hope has the full backing of her mother, father, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), and Liam. But Douglas is teased to choose to live with his dad at the Forrester mansion.

Eric Forrester (John McCook) provided Thomas with a stable environment, without which this change might not be feasible. So, Brooke’s opinion, while reasonable, might be dismissed. If that happens, her recent reconciliation with Ridge could be short-lived.
