Mahogany Roca entered the TLC show when she met Ben Rathbun online, with whom she grew a closer bond when they talked about their faith in God. Thinking that he already found the love of his life following his divorce, Ben made his way to Peru to personally meet Mahogany and to meet her parents as well.

However, their meeting was not as smooth as they have expected as the father-of-four got a little disappointed when Mahogany doesn’t look the same in her pictures online due to the use of heavy filters. Ben also grew upset when he found out that the Peruvian beauty lied about her age and the place she lives.

In most of her social media posts, the TLC star usually received compliments from her followers due to her noticeable weight loss. Her slender body was more emphasized, leaving her fans stunned. In one of her Q&A sessions on Instagram, a fan dropped a question: “You lost a lot of weight in 1 year. Is this about this program?”

Mahogany then revealed the silent battle she has been facing recently, “That’s me. Yep, eating disorders. I was not happy! This is not attractive at all! It’s not healthy and is not you! So being skinny… was my priority,” she stated. The Peruvian star also acknowledged her mistakes and claimed that she didn’t know a lot of things in the past.

In the next story, Mahogany posted a video of herself being happy and contented, saying “everything looks better.” She then revealed that everything went well when she started following Ben’s fitness website as it helped her to have a healthy mind, leading her to get rid of her eating problems.

In other news, Mahogany and Ben opened up about their relationship and admitted that being long-distance can be difficult at times. However, they believe that their love is stronger than anything else. “God really cares about us, he’s put us together and he’s gonna keep our love strong,” Ben stated. They also promised to pray for each other to keep their relationship going.

On the other hand, Ben also invited their subscribers to check out his new venture. A fitness logo appeared at the end of the video that says: “Starting Today Fitness.” In the caption, Ben stated that his new business is “super inexpensive and benefits a local shelter and food bank.”
