Deavan Clegg stepped foot on the TLC show when she has romantically involved with her now ex-husband, Jihoon Lee. The two welcomed their son, Taeyang, and later got married. However, due to the absence of loving emotions, they decided to call it quits. Deavan and Jihoon got a divorce and the matriarch got custody of her son.
When she finally let go of the past, Deavan found love with her boyfriend, Topher Park. Though they’re in a healthy relationship, the Utah resident still got heartbroken when Taeyang was diagnosed with leukemia.
Recently, Deavan shared some heart-rending news regarding her son, Taeyang, who continues to fight childhood cancer. When the TLC star announced her son’s illness for the first time, fans showered the mom with love and words of encouragement. She also asked for prayers and financial aid via a GoFundMe account for Taeyang’s chemotherapy. According to the mother of three, she often found her son tired and uncomfortable moving.
In one of her posts on social media, Deavan shared a photo of Taeyang in one of her Instagram stories. She then mentioned the little warrior’s love for Halloween, however, he cannot join the activities due to his medical condition. “Sadly, he is down for the count and too sick to participate this year,” Deavan wrote.
The Los Angeles native recently shared her birthday nightmare when Taeyang had an emergency blood transfusion. In one of her Instagram stories, Deavan wrote: “Instead of celebrating, we spent our day at the hospital.” Despite what they have been through, the TLC star still looked into the brighter side of life – still happy as she spent her day with her son.
However, the scary hospital moment has been a success when Deavan’s mom, Elicia, posted a photo of a birthday cake with 26 candles on it. She mentioned that her grandson’s blood transfusion went well, and they finally got to celebrate her daughter’s 26th birthday. “Today was hard but good,” she wrote.
The concerned fans dropped their words of love in the comment section as they wished Deavan the happiest of birthdays. One fan commented, “So glad everything went well! Poor precious angel! He’s so strong!” An Instagram user said, “So happy all went well.” Another one chimed in, “Glad everything went well with the transfusion.”
