When Yara moved to the states to be with her husband, Jovi Dufren, she wasn’t sure how long it would be until she made it back to her family in Ukraine. She is doing a great job as a mother living in Louisiana, but she still wants to see her family and she wants Mylah to meet them all. She hasn’t been back to Ukraine since she moved in 2020.
Yara took the time on 90 Day Diaries to tell fans what is going on with her getting to Ukraine. She has not gotten her green card yet and is still waiting for her interview with the United States in order to get everything approved. The pandemic has really put a damper on this as well. If she leaves the states right now and misses it, it is considered that she abandoned the process.
On top of the green card process, Hurricane Ida hit Louisiana when she wanted to go see her family and that kept her from leaving too. As of February, Ukraine is now under attack by Russia and this is yet another reason that Yara cannot go visit her family. It would be a horrible idea for her to travel there now.
Yara has told her fans that her family is safe and taken care of right now, but she really does want to go see them. We hope that she can get to them sooner or later. We will continue to follow her on Instagram to see if she can get there.
