In a teaser for Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Jovi wants to ‘fix’ marriage with a second child.
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Yara Zaya has slammed Jovi Dufren for saying he wants to “fix” their marriage. In fact, the New Orleans native believes a second child would do the trick. However, on Yara’s side, with two-year-old Mylah, she doesn’t want to grow their family any time soon. In fact, she referred to Jovi, saying another child would mean he will control her more.
Ukrainian native, Yara Zaya and New Orleans native, Jovi Dufren, already have a two-year-old daughter, Mylah. Meanwhile, with Yara considering a move to Europe to be nearer her struggling family, he feels their marriage is in need of fixing. In fact, he is doing everything he can to try and make her return to the US.
In a teaser to Sunday’s episode, Jovi proposes having another child, as he feels this would bring him and Yara closer together again. He starts the conversation by saying: “I was actually thinking if you want to come back home, how do you think you would feel about us having another baby?”
Yara looks shocked by his question, asking him, “You want to have another baby?”
Speaking in a confessional, Jovi explains that he doesn’t want to be an “old dad,” so he thinks the timing is right to have another baby. He adds:
I’ve also been thinking, maybe a child could strengthen our relationship. If Yara got pregnant again, I feel like it would bring us closer.
Flashing back to Yara, she obviously isn’t keen on the idea and asks Jovi, “This is, like, serious right now?” In fact, she tells him firmly, “No, because I will be the person who will raise them. You’re always at work. No. No.”
In her own confessional, Yara says, “Hearing Jovi bring up another baby, it’s like, I honestly don’t know where it’s coming from. I want another baby in the future, but it’s definitely not a close future. At least in four years or something — I don’t want another baby now.”
In fact, Yara adds that it is honestly the worst time to have any kids right now. However, Jovi tells her, “Now’s the time to do it – not to wait.”
Next, it is like a flash bulb went off above her head as Yara finally understands why he is bringing up having more babies. She tells Jovi:
So now because I say maybe I want to stay in Europe you’re trying to [drop] the bomb on me about another baby? Like, is that something you think – if we have another baby you can control me more?
Admittedly, Jovi’s proposal does come at a bad time, due to tensions between him and Yara, while her home country of Ukraine has been invaded by Russia. After her green card was approved, Yara was keen to meet her family in Europe, to ensure their safety in the ongoing violence. However, Mylah’s dad isn’t thrilled about the idea of Yara traveling out of the country with their daughter.
While Jovi did end up joining them, Yara’s reunion with her family has made her reconsider life in the US. In fact, she started looking at apartments in Europe as a way to potentially see more of her family. Alternatively, she could at least stay with them until they could return to Ukraine.
