Tammy Slaton made her debut on the TLC show alongside her sister, Amy Slaton, to document the progress in their weight loss journey as they continue to help and lift each other until they are qualified to undergo bariatric surgery. During its first season, Amy was the first one to experience the surgery and lost more than 100 pounds until the end of Season 3.

However, Tammy struggled to maintain the diet and exercise that Dr. Charles Procter Jr. has prescribed to her, and this led the TLC star to be demotivated in achieving her ideal weight. Tammy spent a lot of time drinking alcoholic beverages and eating unhealthy foods as she went out partying with some friends.

When Dr. Procter paid a visit to Tammy’s home in Dixon, Kentucky, he encouraged his patient to go back on track. Tammy agreed with the idea and started to go into rehab to help her heal with her food addiction

Throughout Season 3, Tammy was seen doing her best in the rehabilitation center for her to finally be able to undergo the weight loss surgery. However, the road was never easy for Tammy when she was once sent to the hospital due to health complications, which ended in her having a tracheostomy tube.

During the Season 3 finale, Tammy’s brother, Chris Combs, shared his delight when his sister lost a total of 115 pounds in 30 days of staying in the rehab. “I’m overjoyed that she’s ready to get on this train and start rolling down the tracks,” he said.

On Tammy’s recent TikTok post, one fan commented asking about Season 4 of the show. The 35-year-old star responded, “We haven’t started filming for Season 4 yet. It’s going to be quite a while before it airs.”
