Y&R Spoilers: Victor and Abby Support Ashland, Will They Regret It

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) had a great meeting with her intended brother-in-law. Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) made a good impression because he demonstrated how much he truly loves and cares for her sister. But that might not matter, as this storyline lurches toward its climax.

Abby is like Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), in that both ladies are not able to make a clear assessment of Ashland, who is withholding some crucial information about his life.

Meanwhile, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has determined that Jesse Gains (Jamison Jones) needs to be marginalized. Viewers know that he is a threat, which is why Bobby Defranco (Burgi), which is Ashland’s real name, is willing to continue paying blackmail money to him.

It appears as though Jesse’s awareness of Ashland’s business dealings, which are connected to his early days in New Jersey, is valuable. Whatever evidence Jesse has would alter the facade Ashland created decades ago.

Paying Jesse three-hundred thousand dollars per year is quite the handsome sum. That payoff has seemingly taken place for years, with no push-back.

Now, in light of Ashland’s terminal condition, Jesse wants an advance payment in the form of a lump sum. Three million dollars will buy his silence. However, a half-million has been requested from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as well. Might Jesse be playing both sides against each other?

Y&R Spoilers – Billy Abbott Means Business

Billy is acting smugly toward Ashland and Victor. He is doing so because Jesse agreed to sell him devastating intel on Ashland for five-hundred thousand dollars.

Thompson’s character has every intention of preventing the Vashland wedding from happening. However, he does not know what Jesse’s intel is or whether its power will change Victoria’s mind.

Now, as the fans have seen, Victor managed to enter the game. He just told Ashland that he respects his backstory and business reputation. The Moustache also believes that Ashland loves Victoria and will protect her. So, Victor wants to squash Billy’s efforts, no matter what Jesse knows.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland Locke Has More Explaining To Do

Ashland is projected to at least explain himself to Victor after he shakes the information out of Jesse. That makes Braeden’s character an unlikely ally.

However, if Ashland has some criminal rap sheet or would endanger the future of Newman Enterprises, then Victor is certain to protect Victoria. Her status as his first-born child and Chief Executive Officer of Newman Enterprises represents two valuable roles.

This is good soap because it is still possible for the Vashland wedding to happen and for Billy to be blocked by Victor. But Victoria’s coming awareness will certainly factor into the climax.
