The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is as close to one-hundred percent responsible for breaking up with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) as is possible.

Phyllis’ detractors can condemn her all they want. But she was not at fault for Phick’s collapse.

Meanwhile, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is teased to leave Minnesota, where she has been helping her mother recover, and return to Genoa City, Wisconsin. Since both Phick and Chadam are defunct, a reboot of Chick is possible. But would that be best?

Nick comes across as an ungrateful brat. He is like his sister, Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle), in that regard.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) finds himself in the unusual position of getting along with Victor. Grossman’s character is pro-family, as he continues to pursue a redemptive path.

Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), often chided as childish in the past, has emerged as the most mature among all Victor’s children. What she has endured since last winter makes Nick’s latest faux-outrage look all the more ridiculous.

Y&R Spoilers – Who Does Nick Newman Love Most?

It appears as though Phyllis is not Nick’s deepest love. Sure, he cares deeply for her, and they have a daughter, Summer Newman (Hunter King). But the latest ending for Phick happened months after their casual relationship fell apart.

Avery Bailey Clark (Jessica Collins) would be a great poke in Phyllis’ eye if she returns to GC. Phyllis’ sister and Nick were tight for a while. Collins added an extra flair to the show that has been missing since Avery left town. So, fans can hope for this comeback.

Chelsea represents lost opportunity. So, it is plausible to believe Nick would try to see if another go works. Doing so would reflect Nick’s attempt to repair another past broken relationship.

Of course, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is the ultimate reboot candidate. TPTB allowed Shick to revive in the past. But after the iconic decade-plus marriage, a realized remarriage never happened, despite two altar tries.

If Chelsea gets fed up with Adam, as she likely will, then Nick’s ear could be bent. Morrow’s character has convinced himself that Adam is the favorite son again. So, Nick would be receptive to Chelsea’s anti-Adam rant.

Reviving Chick could be an open plot area that affords the writing staff the most creativity. Chelsea and Nick have an established history and a common enemy in Adam. Those factors would be the basis of a connection and maybe, a fall back into love on Y&R.
