It was clear from the start that the only reason Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) married Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) was because they wanted kids. They were barely dating when they talked about having kids and soon married to try to have kids. When that didn’t work out and Chance took off on a secret mission, Abby just used her egg, Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) sperm, and Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) uterus to give her a baby and now she is at a loss of what to do.

Motherhood does not seem to agree with Abby as she can’t seem to bond at all with this baby. He clearly senses it because he cries every time she is near him. Still, Abby spends Thursday trying to keep up appearances when her mother, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), arrives. Will Ashley be able to see right through her daughter’s tough façade?

Y&R Spoilers – Mariah Copeland Is A Hot Mess

Mariah seems to be just as much of a mess as Abby. She carried the baby, bonded with the baby, and now is out of his life. Abby doesn’t even want her breast milk anymore and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) is not ready for them to have a baby of their own.

When Tessa returns from Tuscany, Mariah also tries to put on appearances, but she ends up giving Tessa the cold shoulder once again. Will Tessa be able to get through to her girlfriend and convince her to get the help she needs
