Viewers of The Young and The Restless will remember that she framed Adam for the attempted murder by poisoning of Detective Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) while pretending to still be paralyzed several months ago.

As viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall, this was after Chelsea had developed a brain aneurysm that gave her a stroke while alone in Adam’s penthouse that they had shared, just as they were all poised to move back to Kansas for a new start.

According to The Young and the Restless recaps, Adam had been dealing with issues of post-traumatic stress disorder after remembering he had killed a man while protecting his late mother, Hope Adams (Signy Coleman) when he was close to the same age his and Chelsea’s son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is now. Chelsea’s aneurysm had been caused when she was hiding in a building and was stuck in an elevator when Adam had shut off the electricity – she had found plans on his laptop to set bombs on in the Newman Enterprises building and was trying to stop him.

Chelsea had tried to climb out through the elevator shop and fell, suffering a head injury that didn’t cause problems until much later.

The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates tease Adam and Chelsea continue to bicker, with Chelsea confronting him about why he won’t go back with her. Chelsea suspects it is because Adam has something going on behind the scenes with his employee Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) but he continues to deny it – and viewers of The Young and The Restless know that he’s telling the truth.

True, there has been some attraction between the two – but Adam also keeps telling Sally that they need to keep things strictly business between them. As far as Chelsea, he keeps telling her that they can be co-parents to Connor and that is it. Adam even let Chelsea keep the penthouse to live in while he lives at the Newman Ranch with Connor, and also has a job for Chelsea in the Newman Fashion division.

Adam obviously still cares for Chelsea, after all, she’s the mother of his child. Chelsea might even go for the big guns and ask Adam wouldn’t it have been better for him had Victor been there married to his mom when he was growing up?
