TLC 90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Stars Jovi Dufren And Yara Zaya
Initially, on season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé, Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya had problems in their relationship. These problems came from his constant traveling, along with his heavy drinking habits. However, since welcoming baby Mylah into their lives, Jovi has done a complete 180. Despite this, Yara still complains about her husband being away for weeks on end as they return for the TLC show, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?
Fans will remember that Jovi and Yara met while he was traveling for work. The pair connected on a trip to Budapest, where they enjoyed a fling. However, after globetrotting together for six months, Jovi and Yara fell in love.
Meanwhile, when Yara first arrived in New Orleans and discovered she was pregnant, she had a problem with him being away so much. The 90 Day Fiancé pair also had to marry early, because Jovi had to jet off once again for his work.
TLC 90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – What does Jovi Dufren Do For A Living?
Besides knowing that Jovi travels a lot for his work, little has been heard of his actual job. Scrolling through his Instagram makes him look like a travel blogger. Due to his party-hard attitude, Jovi often appears on social media, eating at the best restaurants and touring multiple cities in the US.
One inquisitive fan asked Jovi what his job actually is and why he has to travel so much. In an Instagram Story, he replied that he works in “Underwater robotics.” Jovi said that in this field, they get to work all over the world.
Jovi has often spoken of his love for Cajun culture, New Orleans, and partying. He once revealed he had spent summers on shrimp boats as a kid. Jovi even joked that working in underwater robotics comes the fact that being on boats is in his blood. However, he explained that they go down, do maintenance on pipelines, and everything related to oil production.

While Jovi loves being on boats, he said his favorite part of the job is travel. In fact, he said he has been to 25 countries due to his job. Everywhere he goes, he has to stay on the boat “the whole time” for 28 days straight. According to Dufren, he works four weeks on, four weeks off. When he does get time off, he chooses a country and travels to spend his four weeks there.
According to Jovi’s LinkedIn profile, he started working as an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Pilot in September 2008. However, since 2013, he has been working as an ROV Supervisor at the marine services firm, C-Innovation LLC.
In this kind of work, flexibility and the ability to travel is a must, which could cause problems for his relationship with Yara. His job as an ROV Supervisor requires the 90 Day Fiancé star to stay away for weeks at a time. Fans wonder if Yara wasn’t fully aware of Jovi’s job before she decided to move to America to marry him.
Fans can see Jovi and Yara on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? on TLC, Sundays at 8 pm ET.
