I was truly taken aback by the heaviness. The seemingly unhappiness. It is profound. Yeah, you know the first picture was taken a year ago and the second one, today. You know, I will never lie to you fine folks. I want to speak to you parents here. I feel you. It has been a f****** brutal year.”

“I’m sorry for cursing but I don’t know how else to emphasize how absolutely extraordinary and how horrible this has been on my children. I am a single parent but I am not only speaking to single parents. It’s parents everywhere. To watch my kids suffer…This has been so hard on our kids. I’m not going to get into specifics on just how difficult this has been on my children… but trust me.”

“And I DO know it could be worse. We are healthy and I am so grateful. I just wanted you all to know that I feel you. I am so fortunate to be back at work. I do know this. So many are out of work. But if I get sick, it effects a huge group of people and their livelihood. So, I’m super careful. I gotta stay well. The stress of having to stay well and my kids having to stay well is very VERY challenging.”

“It’s constantly on my mind. I don’t think I can eloquently communicate just how difficult this has been. I just want all of you other parents to know, that you are not alone. I feel your exhaustion. I too am exhausted… from the inside. I ABSOLUTELY BELIEVE that we will ALL get through this and I truly believe that our kids will be stronger and better because of it. In spite of it.
