The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Kyle’s Paternity Issue Unresolved – Did Theo Tell The Whole Story?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that in Genoa City, Wisconsin Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has been told by Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) that he is her son’s father. But it’s not possible to confirm whatever the truth is until a paternity test is taken and the results are fully validated beyond a reasonable doubt.

It is reasonable to question everything, considering that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) was the source who initially and intentionally lowered this information boom on Kyle. For example, were Theo and Tara involved?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Theo Vanderway Was In New York Back Then

Y&R viewers know that Theo and Kyle were quite the rabble-rousers in the Big Apple. The writing staff is currently mining another previously unknown event from the time when Kyle was off-screen in New York.

Theo was thought to be just a half-baked buddy in the past. Of course, he came to be revealed as Kyle’s paternal cousin. That detested plot point propelled this rivalry into the stratosphere.

Kyle wasn’t the only reckless personality back then. Theo was all about himself as well. So, it stands to reason that he was involved with Tara in order to compete with Kyle.

Y&R Spoilers – Tara Locke Only Had One Test Conducted

Tara seemed genuine when telling Kyle that she had a DNA test conducted and that her husband, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), was not a match. The implication is that Kyle was the only other option and therefore is Harrison Locke’s (no actor known to have been cast for this role) father.

However, Tara also asked Kyle to walk away from the situation. Her desire to dissuade him from having a relationship with his apparent son seems to be based on Ashland’s terrible reputation.

Tara’s desire to protect Harrison could also include the intention of protecting Kyle as well. Fear would be Tara’s motivating factor if she’s telling the whole truth.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – More Than One Option Exists

As this is soap, any DNA or paternity test result can be questioned. So, it would seem odd for Tara to tell Kyle that Ashland wasn’t Harrison’s father if that wasn’t true. Why would she lie about that?

But is Kyle the only father option other than Ashland? That’s a good question, which can’t be accurately answered yet. It is reasonable speculation because the audience and Kyle don’t have enough information.

As everyone also knows, anytime Theo is involved in anything he could be exaggerating, guessing, or flat out lying simply to stir trouble. In this instance, it’s possible that Tara doesn’t even know the truth either. But hopefully Kyle will soon.
