The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) made a major mistake. His tactical error was allowing Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to persuade him into revealing details about Newman Enterprises.

Kevin’s tell to Phyllis let her know that a high level Newman executive was caught on a recording in an embezzlement scheme. Gloria Abbott Bardwell (Judith Chapman) is connected to the drama on the periphery, as her son explained it, which should delight Chapman fans.

Chapman returned to the cast of Y&R, after not being seen in a few years. Her unexpected arrival included behavior that was more suspicious than Glo’s normal pattern.

As fans recall, Gloria put something inside a container in the Chancellor mansion living room, which was prior to when Kevin, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), the kids, and apparently Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) bought a new home and moved out.

Kevin’s technical savvy allowed him to learn what Gloria did. He also told Phyllis that he talked Gloria out of blackmailing the Los Angeles, California, based Newman executive who’d pilfered funds.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) warned his sister to lay off Phyllis. But Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is truly feeling her oats these days and outright rejected that advice.

Victoria’s attempt to stick it to Phyllis, by assuming the Grand Phoenix debt that was owed, sent Stafford’s character into a tailspin. But eventually Nick opted to loan Phyllis money so that she could satisfy the debt and regain control of the hotel she considers her signature base of operations.

However, Victoria hasn’t stopped showing up at the Phoenix in the weeks that followed the completion of the noted transaction. That perceived provocation drove Phyllis to be delighted by the reveal Kevin dropped.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Gaining Leverage And Using It

Phyllis gained knowledge that she’s not going to forget and will attempt to use to some form of maximum effect. What that is and whether Kevin will be forced to help Phyllis is yet to be determined.

However, it would seem that Chapman’s return serves as an opening, as Phyllis can make contact with the source who learned about Newman’s troubles. So, it’s possible that two anti-Newman allies will forge an alliance, with Victoria’s crisis becoming more widely exposed.
