King’s exit from the cast, which will be followed by Michael Mealor’s (Kyle Abbott) departure, led to Summer’s painful decision to end Skyle and accept the Marchetti job offer in Italy. That’s a leading reason why Nick felt it was best to help Summer with this transitional period in her life.

But Nick will return to the United States and become aware of Phyllis’ voluntary involvement in Jack’s perceived love life jeopardy.

Phyllis emphasized Jack’s big heart after she witnessed Sally ask Bergman’s character to join her for a drink at Society. That translated to Phyllis believing Jack’s power of forgiveness and vulnerability was again being exploited by a person she considers to be a killer, Sally.

Jack’s previous tell to Sally, that they weren’t going to be a couple, was based on his accurate assessment. He concluded that Sally was too similar to those dysfunctional personality types he’d been involved with in the past.

It’s arguable to state that Phyllis remains Jack’s greatest love. So, she retains the power to influence his behavior.

Jack and Phyllis’ post second marriage relationship is complicated, as are an uncountable number of soapy connections. In terms of whatever Phack is now, Phyllis doesn’t want Jack to be hurt by the likes of Sally.

Hope’s character could be described as resilient by those who like her. Others would tag Sally as the modern edition of Phyllis. Stafford’s character said that herself soon after Sally arrived in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

The danger Phyllis faces is getting too involved in Jack’s life, as his warnings to back off affirm. The potentially more important peril involves Nick becoming jealous or at least put-off by his renewed love interest’s behavior where Jack is concerned.
