The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Richard Burgi Spills Dirt On Ashland Locke

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that fans just got their first glimpse of new baddie Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), aka the ‘Locke Ness Monster.’ So how did it go when the villain finally arrived in Genoa City, Wisconsin?

He was far from the mustache twirling, fire breathing meanie that Kyle Abbot (Michael Mealor) had been going on about for days. Y&R recaps show he was quite charming, inquisitive and complimentary to those he met and he even offered Kyle some cash!

That’s because Ashland mistook the young Abbott as a bell hop, oops. In fact Kyle is so much more than that—he slept with Ashland’s wife Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and he is her actual baby daddy.

In the meantime Burgi talked to Daytime Confidential about his new role and shared his opinion on the charming but devious character.

According to Burgi Ashland is, “cagey. He’s worked hard. He’s gone through some tribulations and trials in his life, and I think he’s arrived at a place where he’s enjoying the fruits of his labors and the little quiver of arrows that he can throw at people in so as far as psychological manipulations in his world of big business.”

He went on to say of his alter ego, “He’s a terrific, personable, charming, intelligent, kind person… who, like many characters that have been labeled as nefarious, is just misguided. I think Victor Newman [Eric Braeden] was castigated as a bad guy for a while. He’s just misunderstood!”

Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland met all of the Genoa City power players in his first day in town starting with Kyle Abbott and Hunter King (Summer Newman). Of them Burgi said, “They are such pros. And Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) was delightful. She and I had a lot of fun.”

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – What Happens Next In Genoa City, Wisconsin?

Will Ashland find out that his son is Kyle’s? Not if Tara and Kyle have anything to say about it. But Burgi teased that, “You know, Kyle’s like a lot of young men. They like take chances and risks. Sometimes that pays off… and sometimes it come back to bite you in the keester.”

It sounds like a bombshell explosion could detonate in Genoa City soon, and where the pieces land could be very interesting!
