But fans who follow Steve also will recall that when he left General Hospital for The Young and The Restless the last time, he had claimed he wanted to move himself and his family to the Nashville, Tennessee area where he had opened a steakhouse.

The steakhouse didn’t last long, and Steve’s musical endeavors with Port Chuck took a hiatus as well and soon he was playing Dylan on The Young and The Restless! Besides, now that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has finally gotten over his fixation (for the time being) on Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) Dylan’s return could serve to shake up her and Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) marriage, because he’d have someone else to be jealous of!

Y&R Spoilers – There’s No Timeline On When Chance Chancellor Would Be Found, Dylan McAvoy Could Help Find Him

Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) situation sounds an awful lot like Dylan’s. In Dylan’s case he left and went into witness protection after an undercover FBI deal went wrong. Even though viewers of The Young and The Restless know, thanks to a leaked photo Amelia Heinle had on her social media that Chance will return – and Conner Floyd’s name was leaked as NuChance – there’s not a timeline on that necessarily.

A returned Dylan, possibly joined by Chance’s half-brother Ronan Malloy (Jeff Branson) would come in very handy right now to find a missing Chance and return him to his rightful “owners”, meaning Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and baby Dominic Chancellor (uncast) and mother Nina Webster (Tricia Cast). Even if Steve Burton stays Jason Morgan on General Hospital, a recast Dylan not only could shake up the status quo in Genoa City, he could be a hero as well!

Doug Davidson’s Been Wanting Airtime, His Son’s Return Might Get Him Some

Doug Davidson’s been wanting airtime for quite a while as Chief Paul Williams, and his son Dylan’s return might get him some; longtime viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that he is his son with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

Right now, Nikki’s family is a bit fractured with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) in a tenuous truce over his interference in her relationship and marriage to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). Viewers also know Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is on her way back, and Dylan and Chelsea really made some drama together when he was in town the last time! There are just so many storylines currently on the canvas that Dylan would fit into, and make things considerably more interesting! The search for Chance is just the beginning!
