The Young And The Restless: Brytni Sarpi Shares Important Message

The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates tease that Brytni Sarpi, who’s also known as Dr. Elena Dawson on the soap, is making preparations as she supports a worthwhile cause.

The actress took to social media to tell her followers that she’s participating in the 2021 Malibu Triathlon to support pediatric cancer research at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.

“For more than five decades the physicians, researchers, and staff at the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute (CBDI) at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles have been saving children’s lives and working to increase cure rates through innovative clinical care and research programs, academic excellence, and global leadership,” the actress said.

Sarpi also revealed that CBDI provides children access to the latest treatment options, which are currently part of the clinical trials. More than 1,612 children were enrolled by CBDI in about 180 clinical trials and other research studies.

The actress also urged her fans to donate to the Hospital and said that their charitable gifts will make a huge difference in the lives of many young kids and their families. Any amount will be appreciated and will be used to create a better future for a lot of kids and their families.

Sarpi joined the cast of The Young and the Restless back in 2019 after portraying the role of Valerie Spencer in General Hospital. Her alter ego, Elena Dawson, developed a romantic relationship with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) after the death of Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan). Although Elena and Devon didn’t have their happily ever after, their portrayers are actually dating in real life.

Fans who have been watching the Young and the Restless know that the soap has addressed various relevant topics including cancer. Jennifer Brooks (Dorothy Green) met her demise due to breast cancer back in the 1970s. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) fought her own battle against it, and more recently, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) was diagnosed with cancer, too.

Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will try to stay strong as Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) does everything in his power to bring Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) home. But she’ll be engulfed by her emotions and suffers a meltdown. Sharon will vow to make the person responsible for Mariah’s ordeal pay.

Elsewhere, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will find a lead, which he believes is worth looking into. He’ll report it to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) along with his concerns regarding Ben “Stitch” Rayburn’s (Sean Carrigan) convenience store story.
