If Liam is named as the father of Steffy’s baby, then the chances of Hope and Thomas bonding likely increase considerably. Lope would crash like Steffy’s motorcycle and Thomas, as was true with Finn, would be there to support survival.

Liam knows that he’s the reason Hope is hurting. He understand that it was his overreaction that caused the cliff house atmosphere to revert to Steam from long ago.

Hope has stated that she needs time to deal with all she’s learned. But even if Liam isn’t the father of Steffy’s baby, Hope will have to determine if it’s possible to rebuild trust with her husband.

Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri) were also victims of what Liam did. That realization, as much as his guilt that’s connected to betraying Hope’s trust, has made Liam very remorseful.

Hope recognizes Liam’s contrition and still loves him. But the depth of feelings that are in play makes this couple’s future fully unpredictable.

Thomas truly does want to be a better person. He’s being honest in saying that he is trying to do right by Douglas, Hope, and others.

Atkinson’s character recently expressed the love he has for Hope, adding that his current feelings are based on her best interests rather than romantic desires. Hope has already been impressed by the changes within Thomas. The contrast between his development and Liam’s descent will play directly into whether Hope falls in love with Thomas as this arc unfolds.
