While Liam’s general intentions are based mostly on his connection to Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Colette Gray), he obviously hadn’t considered the value Steffy placed on his importance in her own life as well.

The man that Steffy and Hope loved for many years bounced back and forth between them. Often times Liam did so after having to be told what to do by one lady or the other.

In effect, Liam hasn’t matured fully into adulthood. Some might blame Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) for that reality. Others would say that Steffy and Hope are partially responsible for allowing Liam to hold such sway.

A reasonable assessment of the current dilemma concludes that Steffy and Hope are more deeply entangled with each other because of their need to stay connected to him regardless of the consequences. That dynamic has a chance to change if Finn is the dad. But if he’s not, then similar drama continues.
