As a result of Christine Brown’s highly publicized split from Kody Brown, rumors have soared that Meri Brown will leave as well. Add in rumors that Meri enjoys a secret romance away from Kody, and fans long to know the truth. But rather than spill, an Instagram Live broadcast turned into a deflection, with the Sister Wives star joking about the gossip.

Meri joined her co-host Jenn Sullivan for the holiday-themed Instagram Live broadcast, reported In Touch. But Christmas chatter soon segued into a chance to mock those under-cover boyfriend rumors. As Jenn and Meri broadcast live from a Christmas display in Oregon dubbed “The North Pole,” Meri’s co-host joked that the Sister Wives star should avoid getting cozy with a Santa Claus statue.

“Meri Brown cuddles up to Santa’s beard,” teased Jenn in projecting an imaginary tabloid magazine headline. “I mean, there’s been a couple [of] articles about me and men,” admitted Meri, referring to the secret boyfriend rumors. But rather than address the published gossip on her broadcast, the Sister Wives star chose to tell her truth in writing.

As for the source of all the rumors about Meri enjoying a romance with a secret boyfriend, the Sister Wives star has shared photos of a friend, Blair Struble. Fans reacted by assuming that Meri and Blair date under-cover. “It’s about time you are enjoying yourself,” wrote one follower. “[And] you are being treated good by a man!!!”

But those photos and that shared Disneyland vacation don’t add up to romance. In fact, the interior stylist remains happily wed to his husband. As for Kody Brown split rumors? Meri has offered insights in that regard as well.

For instance, the Sister Wives pointed out her investment in her polygamous relationship with Kody and emphasized her commitment. “Let’s just clarify something here. I love this man,” insisted the 50-year-old. “Sure we’ve had ups and downs through the years (I mean, isn’t that somewhat normal?) High highs and low lows. … But here’s my truth. I love him. I love my family. I’m committed. I have 30 years in this. We struggle. We communicate. We repair relationships as the parties involved are willing and able.”

In addition, the Sister Wives star directly slammed the secret boyfriend rumors. “I have many friends,” pointed out Meri. “I have male friends (Gasp! Shocker!),” she mocked. And to any fans expecting an apology, the Sister Wives star added, “I won’t apologize for that.”
