Royal Family News: What Patronages Have Been Stripped Away From Prince Harry And Meghan Markle?

British royal family news reveals that history was made today when Her Majesty announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer working members of the royal family. The statement came a month before their status was due to be reviewed in a formal Megxit meeting.

As a result the couple were removed as patrons from multiple organizations and released from all of their royal duties.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been in America for the past year after abandoning their roles to live a life of unfettered luxury, free from royal obligations.

Buckingham Palace said their decision meant, “it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.”

The official statement read in part: “The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by the Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family.”

Within minutes the patronages began releasing their own statements confirming they were no longer associated with Harry and Meghan.

Meghan’s role with the National Theatre is over and the group announced it was, “very grateful” for her past support.

England Rugby tweeted, “Prince Harry will be stepping down from his role as RFU Patron. We would like to thank Prince Harry for his time and commitment to the RFU both in his position as Patron and Vice Patron. The RFU has greatly valued his contribution to promoting and supporting the game.”

He also held the same role with the Rugby Football League, which wasted no time in recognizing his departure from their ranks. Their tweet read: “The Rugby Football League thanks The Duke of Sussex for his time, care and commitment in supporting Rugby League at all levels in recent years – from the children’s game to the Challenge Cup, the England teams and RLWC2021.”

The couple’s removal from working royal life caps a week full of royal tumult. Prince Philip was admitted to the hospital four days ago with a mystery ailment and he remains there through the weekend at least.

The always controversial Markle’s further stirred the pot by announcing they are doing a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, and prior to that they announced they are expecting their second child.
