British royal family news reveals that the regal clan appear in public as the very epitome of grace, style and polish. But royals still put their clothes on as the rest of us do, albeit sometimes with disastrous results.

The Duchess Of Cornwall And The Queen Were Not Immune

During a windy visit to Wiltshire in 2011 Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall had a mishap with an unruly umbrella, a battle caught on camera. A year earlier the queen was caught out in a similar faux pas.

She was present for the marking of the 150th anniversary of the Eton Combined Cadet Force at Eton College in 2010. For some reason she was unable to get a firm grip on a bouquet of flowers and struggled to keep them upright until an aide took control of the wayward flowers.

The Duchess Of Cambridge Nearly Slipped And Fell

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge almost tumbled to the ground while out in public in 2019. She was at the Troubadour White City Theatre in west London with her husband William. As the couple said their goodbyes, Kate wobbled while they walked to their car. The unflappable future queen consort managed to maintain her dignity when her foot slipped out of her Gianvito Rossi shoe and even laughed at the same time.

The Duchess of Cambridge had another troublesome public incident years before. At that time she was at Mons Barracks Aldershot at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in 2013. Her heel got stuck in a grate and she had to be supported by William as she twisted the shoe to freedom.

Ex Royal Meghan Markle Has Her Share Of Missteps

In 2018, Meghan Markle arrived in Tonga with Prince Harry. She was all made up to the hilt as she disembarked the plane. And yet for all her self-assuredness, she made a very visible, very embarrassing mistake that detracted from her look.

Eagle-eyed fans saw right away that she failed to remove the return label on the dress. The label was clearly visible inside the dress, dangling about beneath the hem.

Then there was the time that Princess Diana fell on plane stairs in 1991. The plane landed in Pakistan and as she walked up to the cabin she slipped.
