British royal family news reveals that Queen Elizabeth will best bratty Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their own game by taking to the airwaves before they have a chance to rip apart the royal family on Queen Oprah’s couch.
She, Prince Charles and Prince William will address the nation on TV hours before Oprah has her way with the tawdry couple who have promised to tell all about their time living off the palace dime and hating every elite minute of it.
Westminster Abbey announced this morning that Her Majesty was due to attend the annual Commonwealth Service on March 8 but it was cancelled due to Covid-19.
And so the Queen will share her annual message 24 hours earlier for, A Celebration For Commonwealth Day, in a speech recorded at Windsor Castle and broadcast on BBC One on Sunday March 7.
That is the same date the Markle’s will whine to Oprah about their tortured lives, full of privilege and millions, mansions and private jets. The Queen will be seen a few hours before Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey on CBS at 8pm EST in the US, around 1am UK time on Monday.
Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, will all appear with the monarch and the show is hosted by Anita Rani. Each royal will describe their views on the importance of Britain’s Commonwealth links.
After ditching his family, Harry and Meghan criticized his grandmother for how she managed the Commonwealth, among other things.
It is not known how or when UK viewers will see the Oprah interview. But clips of the Oprah interview will be all over the international TV news and online media minutes after it is shown in America. Nonetheless the full 90-minute show may not be aired in the UK until later in the week.
Today it emerged that the controversial interview with their friend Oprah Winfrey may be re-edited or re-shot due to the rift it has caused with the royal family. As usual the Markle’s timing is terrible as 99-year-old Prince Philip has been hospitalized for days now.
Prince Philip was visited by Prince Charles over the weekend and when asked about his grandfather today Prince William, on a visit to a Norfolk vaccination site, said: “Yes, he’s okay, they’re keeping an eye on him.”
