Royal Family News: Prince William And Kate Middleton’s Puppygate Controversy Is Irritating Fans

British royal family news reveals that in the wake of the news of Prince William, Duke Of Cambridge and Kate Middleton’s new puppy, the Cambridges are getting flak for not announcing the pooch’s name.

The family of five recently made headlines when it was discovered that they have a new four-legged companion, a relative of their dog Lupo who passed away last year.

After the Cambridges lost their beloved dog Lupo they shared the news with fans on social media.

“Very sadly last weekend our dear dog, Lupo, passed away. He has been at the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him so much. – W & C”

It has emerged that Kate’s brother James Middleton gave the Cambridges the eight month old black puppy before Lupo died.

A source told The Mail on Sunday, “They were devastated when Lupo passed away, as any dog owner will understand, but got the new puppy before he died.”

“It was hoped that the younger dog would give Lupo some company and give him a little bit more life and energy.”

But apparently some fans are not content to hear the news of the adorable new pup, they want more deets! According to one royal expert, there is a virtual Puppygate in the making, with the, “shroud of secrecy,” annoying some royal fans.

The Daily Mail‘s Royal Editor Rebecca English told the Palace Confidential podcast host that she also is peeved at the lack of disclosure.

“Cards on the table, this really does irritate me,” Rebecca explained. “I’m long in the tooth enough to remember when Lupo first came on the scene. Royal aides even refused to confirm his existence, let alone his name because it was an issue of privacy.”

She added, “Here we are in the same situation again. No official confirmation that they have a new puppy and definitely no official confirmation of a name, which is really strange.”

She then went on to say, “I genuinely can’t understand why there is this reluctance to be honest about it. I’m told the name will come out, it will probably be leaked out over the course of some official engagement. But I just don’t understand why they are doing that.”
