Royal Family News: Prince Harry Feels Like He Wasn’t Taken Seriously By His Family

British royal family news shows that royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams thinks that Prince Harry believes his brother Prince William is a clueless creature “trapped” in a role. His role is that of one day being king of England while Harry’s role is that of the “spare”—sour grapes much?

The royal commentator notes that the Fresh Prince of Montecito was acutely aware that he had, “no defined role” in the monarchy and as a result could have been left him resentful. While Harry’s union with ex cable actress Meghan Markle, “undoubtedly changed him,” Fitzwilliams thinks the sibling rivalry was in place before, “his relationship with his wife.”

After marrying Meghan, Harry retreated to California where they now reside in a $14 million mansion. Harry just announced that he has been secretly working on a bombshell memoir due next year.

The royal watcher told Entertainment Daily, “Many think that the fact that William grew up knowing he would one day be king and Harry had no defined role, led to rivalry between brothers who were considered inseparable.”

“Harry’s reputation was as the royal wild child for years, William’s image was far more serious however he behaved. Some say Harry resented not being taken seriously, despite his military service and charitable work.”

He went on to say, “The rift between them, long reported and first confirmed in the ITV documentary about their South Africa trip, is public and serious. It was his marriage to Meghan which unquestionably changed him.”

He also thinks that he “Fab Four” idea about Harry and Megan teaming with Prince William and Kate Middleton was a bona fide, “disaster.”

It’s been reported that the sibs became estranged in March 2019 when Prince William allegedly threw Harry and Meghan out of Kensington Palace after Meghan was accused of bullying the staff. Later, the Sussexes broke up the couple’s merged foundation. For the record, a formal complaint was lodged against Meghan and there is an ongoing investigation into her alleged bullying behavior.

The brothers reunited briefly in public on July 1 for the unveiling of a statue to their late mother Princess Diana.

They were also seen chatting in public on the occasion of their grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral in April.
