British Royal family news reveals Prince Charles has finally taken the lead and is showing some leadership behind the scenes at Buckingham Palace, according to a new report. In fact, the Prince of Wales has decided to change the way he responds to important matters, such as the palace’s response to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s seismic interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this month. It goes without saying that the palace certainly wasn’t pleased with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they seemingly threw the entire royal family under the bus in their tell-all interview with Oprah. In less than two hours, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hinted at racism behind closed palace doors amongst many other things. Both Harry and Meghan said they were incredibly disappointed that the royals weren’t showing them the same kind of support that they were showing other members of their family.

Royal expert Robert Jobson recently told Hello! Magazine that for Charles, enough is enough and he’s finally decided to take charge of this entire PR crisis, but that’s mostly because he’s the only person capable right now to do so. He said, “The queen is 94 and the Duke of Edinburgh is incapacitated, so he will be trying to placate and learn lessons from this so something can be worked out to everyone’s satisfaction.”

Jobson also said that it was Prince Charles who had crafted Buckingham Palace’s statement in response to Meghan and Harry’s accusations. “The royal family like to do things as a team, and if the team is being trashed, they like to react as a unit and a family,” he continued.

And while royals say that “some recollections may vary” over what had happened behind closed doors, Prince Harry made it pretty clear to Oprah that his father Charles had cut him off both financially and emotionally. Whether or not Prince Charles responds to that, remains to be seen.
