Royal Family News: Prince Charles And Camilla Parker Bowles’ First 2021 In-person Event

British royal family news reveals that Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, made history today when they came out of lockdown to mark their first royal event of 2021. Prince Charles and Camilla went to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham to recognize volunteers who are doing clinical trials for COVID-19 vaccinations.

Ironically, today Prince Philip was taken to the hospital out of an “abundance” of caution since he was not feeling well. The palace stressed that it was not an emergency situation and that fact was underlined by his son continuing on with his prearranged schedule.

The royal couple was joined by Health Secretary Matt Hancock and a video shows Prince Charles and Hancock speaking while socially distanced and wearing masks.

The event was in full compliance with Government guidelines on coronavirus precautions which demand that as long as the lockdown continues, people can travel for work if it cannot be done from home. The UK is now in its third lockdown since the pandemic began.

Royal Family News – Prince Charles Is Conducting Royal Business

Charles and Camilla’s visit surprised royal fans. The couple had engaged in virtual events for weeks as have other senior royals. Despite their shock, royal fans expressed their happiness at seeing the royals back in public, with one fan tweeting, “I’m sooo happy to see them out and about again! Can’t even tell how much I missed engagements like this! Plus: very glad to see them wearing clinical face masks.” Another added: “Ah how great to see them out and about! I hope we will see the Cambridges and other working royals having those kinds of engagements again soon.”

Royal Family News – The Wales’ Delight Royal Fans Today

The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is thought to have treated the largest number of COVID-positive patients of any NHS Trust in the UK, with a whooping 12,500 intakes since the beginning of the pandemic.

Prince Charles tested positive for coronavirus in March and last week his office confirmed both royals received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Both are over-70s, and as such are in a group at risk of suffering severe consequences if they contract the virus.

In June the Prince of Wales revealed that he still had not fully regained his senses of taste and smell and it is not known if this persists.
